in Seaport Operations
RFID technology has and will serve as an indispensable solution in the area of securing seaport operations, a critical part of today's Homeland Security efforts in securing our borders. With successful pilots and recent advances, the use of the technology will increase exponentially. Seaport operations involve everything from Terminal Operating Systems, Yard Management, and Warehouse and Transportation Management systems.
These operations are the backbone of the U.S. economy and cannot experience downtime and must run efficiently as possible. Successfully deploying this technology will not only greatly enhance security but will have a huge impact on productivity as operations are streamlined by tags and sensors.
